Hello All! Today I'm posting something a little different... Yesterday I had to give my rats a bath😂I don't usually wash my rats, I only wash them if they get really stinky or if they're really dandruffy. I don't know if dandruffy is a word... Moving on, when you wash your rat make sure that the stuff you use will not hurt the rat. I recommend baby shampoo or animal soap stuff. I use horse and tail shampoo because I tried it once on my knotty hair.  For people with knotty, fine hair... I don't recommend horse and tail because it totally didn't work for me LOL. But it works fine on rats 😉Your rats will probably hate the washing so... Good Luck! Okay, now on how to ACTUALLY wash a rat. If you have a sink, that would work the best.
Step 1: Get the water to the right temperature, make sure you don't burn or freeze your rattie.
Step 2: Rinse the back and the belly of your rat. DO NOT get it in his/hers nose ears eyes or mouth. stay away from Rattie's head.
Step 3: Lather, take Rattie out of the sink and gently scrub the Rattie's fur with the shampoo/soap that you have.
Step 4: Rinse, get as much soap as you can out of Rattie's fur because they will clean themselves after your finished.
Step 5: dry them off with a towel, and dry yourself too because you will get wet and possibly scratched in the process. Also, give your rattie a  treat and snuggle your little rat because after that traumatizing experience they are going to need some love.
Thanks for Reading!!!
