Lie 1: Rats are mean

Reply: Nope! In fact rats are much sweeter than other rodents, they don't bite, they love to snuggle, and they are very intelligent. 

Lie 2: Rats are disgusting

Reply: WRONG, rats keep themselves clean, while your rat can smell a little bit it's no worse then a kitty litter box.

Lie 3: Domestic rats carried the plague.

Reply: Though it may be a common thought, it is wrong. Domestic rats originated from the Norwegian rat, the plague was carried by the black rat though the two are related the Norwegian rat is bigger and more cuddly. 

Lie 4: Rats are ugly

Reply: yeah.... SO UGLY

Lie 5: Rats live on the streets,

Reply: People, street rats are not domestic rats! That's like comparing your puppy to a rabid wolf. Street rats are wild and tend to be mean, whereas Domestic rats couldn't be sweeter!
